What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Safety Coordinator position at IES Electrical?
IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time construction Site Safety Coordinator in Lubbock, TX.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.
Job Summary
- Ensures implementation of all IES and Client safety activities
- Conducts frequent jobsite inspections, ensures corrective action taken to correct deficiencies
- Works with foreman in planning how to perform non-routine job tasks safely
- Participates in jobsite safety meetings and periodic attendance at foreman toolbox safety meetings
- Conducts jobsite safety orientations
- Assists in safety training as necessary
- Conducts field training on all equipment for all employees
- Assists in Hazards Recognition and corrections
- Provides on-site first aid and CPR capabilities
- Complies with all company and client safety policies and procedures
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year commercial electrical experience in a related position
- HS Diploma/GED
- OSHA-30 Certification
- OSHA 510 or CHST
- First Aid/CPR/AED/Blood Bourne Pathogens Certifications
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check
