Job Summary
- Overall assistance to BIM Modelers, to include support in finishing work in progress on large-scale data center projects, assisting to produce shop drawings, and producing BOM's
- Annotates and documents existing BIM models for mission critical/data center projects
- Collaborates with BIM Modelers to achieve constructible designs
- Assists BIM Modelers with clash detection & resolve conflicts as directed by BIM department
- Assists in preparing shop drawings, installation drawings, and as-builts to support field teams
- Supports prefabrication efforts by producing detailed shop drawings for shop fabrication
- Maintains compliance with project standards, client requirements, & IES MC quality guidelines
- Assists in maintaining BIM project files, naming conventions, & file mgt. per IES standards
- Communicates effectively with BIM Modelers to ensure modeling reflects real-world installation conditions
- Assists other areas of department as needed to support team goals & project success.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in BIM modeling/detailing in electrical construction - mission critical or data center experience preferred
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related BIM software
- Understanding of electrical systems, conduit routing, and constructability in large-scale projects
- Experience with clash detection, coordination, and collaboration with other trades
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and markups
- Excellent communication and computer (MS Office, Outlook) skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles, and drug test as may be required per federal or client contract, or DOT policy.
