Overview

The Director of Operations (Supply Chain) leads divisional forecasting, production planning, and inbound logistics to ensure strong product availability, on-time delivery, and disciplined inventory and cost management. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Product, and Manufacturing to align supply and demand in support of revenue growth and margin goals. Warehouse operations are not included.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end supply chain planning across demand forecasting, production, and logistics.
• Develop and approve demand plans, product mix allocations, production projections, and inventory strategies.
• Ensure SKUs remain in stock while maintaining inventory levels within approved budgets.
• Lead forecasting processes using historical data, seasonality, and market inputs; continuously improve forecast accuracy.
• Leverage advanced Excel, automation, and AI-driven tools to improve planning, visibility, and decision-making.
• Oversee factory production timelines and purchase order execution to ensure on-time and in-full manufacturing.
• Manage relationships with factories, suppliers, and freight forwarders.
• Approve container bookings, transportation strategies, and logistics contracts to optimize cost and service.
• Own the divisional supply chain budget, with accountability for inventory investment and logistics costs.
• Track and report KPIs including forecast accuracy, in-stock rates, on-time production, on-time delivery, and inventory vs. budget.
• Identify risks and drive corrective actions to maintain service and financial targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop teams across forecasting, production planning, and logistics; hire key leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Senior supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing or textiles, covering forecasting, production planning, and logistics.
• Strong expertise in inventory management, supply and demand planning, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proven experience working directly with factories and freight forwarders.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills; experience with ERP and supply chain planning systems.
• Exposure to automation and AI applications within supply chain operations.
• Data-driven leader with strong cross-functional communication and people management skills.
