Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: The Plant Manager will oversee overall production areas in extrusion(24/7) as well as recycling operations(16/5). Production planning, SPC, new product trials and scale up, Preventive maintenance, spare parts inventory, maintenance scheduling and overall administrative responsibilities of all production related employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production planning and scheduling
- Coordinate with lab and ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain SPC and control charts on production lots
- Proper training and communication with employees
- Communicate daily work responsibilities to shift supervisors.
- Daily, weekly and monthly plant performance summary to upper management
- Keep inventory of essential spare parts for all equipment and ensure availability when needed
- Have required preventive maintenance programs on all equipment
- Handle all administrative duties including but not limited to the following: Safety, OSHA, etc.
- Conduct new product trials and scale up to plant production
- Enter production and supplies requirements in Company system.
Experience and Skills:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of plant management experience in plastics processing
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical Engineering preferred.
