Job Summary
The overall purpose of this position is to lead finance oriented projects as a vital member of the Finance Systems team. The Project Manager will work independently and support the Sr. Director in delivering value added solutions that align with IEEE's strategic objectives and ensuring the F&A's strategic direction are effectively communicated and advanced. Further, this role will be expected to create and articulate comprehensive presentations within the department and to wider cross-OU audiences. This position works under minimum supervision and has full authority for the projects and activities of the position.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and Drive the F&A Strategic Vision and Strategy: • Conduct research on different strategic initiatives and support the development of the roadmap efforts • Lead and direct entire cross functional teams on project implementations, and provide framework for milestone tracking of deliverables • Oversee preparation and presentations of business plans including overall strategy to senior management, volunteers, etc.
- Project Management & Product Delivery Framework: • Partner with finance and business members to improve processes and consistency • Identify functional opportunities to reduce manual efforts where seamless reliance on systems/integrations provide greater benefits (e.g. system integrations) • Review, analyze, manage and provide oversight of all finance driven projects (internal IT and external) across all IEEE Entities including but not Limited to our US Entities, the IEEE Foundation and all Global Office Entities for GL and System Support. • Support Sr. Director Finance & Finance Systems to determine priorities of all projects with presentations to Management Council and Volunteer Leadership when necessary • Partner with Finance Systems team members in managing and improving the product delivery framework for Finance by adhering to relative core principals that drive results.
- Finance Lead on IT centric initiatives: • Represent F&A on the Data Governance (DGAC) team • Assist Sr. Director Finance Systems with financial analysis and decision making related to the Enterprise Data Platform project • Represent F&A as liaison on the Innovation Portal project for finance oriented ideas
- Data Management and Governance• Assist Sr. Director with “data owner” responsibilities across finance systems platform• Serve as "data steward" for finance specific data related to the Enterprise Dashboard project
- Analytics, Metrics & Reporting: • Monitor, manage and maintain NG portfolio of custom reports, Metrics, KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and Dashboard Reports generated for Senior Leadership Decision Making (Volunteers and Staff) • Identify opportunities to implement or enhance operational procedures. This includes process and systems needs and work with stakeholders throughout the company to deliver required improvements. • Utilize business process management disciplines (e.g. change management, business systems analysis and critical thinking assessment) for planning and implementing on-budget/on-time projects
- 5-10% Domestic and International Occasional Weekends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Accounting, Finance or Business Related field Req
- Master's or other advanced degree Business Administration, Project Management Pref
- 7-10 years Project Management - managing and leading projects Pref
- 7-10 years Ability to work with cross functional teams Pref
- 4-7 years familiar with non-profit space
- Oracle Cloud Financials including ERP and EPM
- Understand relationship of IT to Finance and related systems
- Strong finance experience working in an accounting or financial planning function and knowledge of finance business processes, i.e. accounts payable, accounts receivable
- Must understand business objectives as they relate to project goals.
- Analyze proposed projects, quantify impact as projected on business and prepare business case
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaboration with cross functional teams spanning finance, IT and business operations
- Experience with financial reporting tools such as Smartview, OTBI, FR Studio, Essbase, Cognos
