Position Overview

The Program Manager is responsible for the execution of all aspects of the program from quote stage to delivery ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with technical and contractual requirements, schedules and budgets.   Programs may reside in the Military, Industrial or Medical market segments and include circuit cards, cable harnesses or metals.  The Program Manager is the focal point for the company for all communications with the customer (internal / external) and is responsible to ensure customer requirements are flowed down to all functional departments.  The Program Manager proactively directs and manages customer needs which may include purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and administrative functional areas.

 

Program Manager Accountabilities: 

 

Sales Order, Planning and Management:

  • Oversee all sales order types including 20 and 30 series for production orders, 40 and 50 series for customer returns, 60 series for materials sales and 70 and 90 series for NRE orders. 
  • Oversee IEC’s Sales Order Entry procedure, the individual will oversee and manage all customer purchase orders in to the IEC Central System after verifying proper quantity, part number and pricing compliance
  • Provide coordination among Planning, Buying, Engineering to allow on-time release of work orders
  • Ensure the support of loading purchase orders in a timely manner

 

Quoting:

  • Monitor quote log to ensure data input accuracy
  • Extract data from quote log to generate reports to aid with strategic sales
  • Follow up with customers on estimates

 

Customer Service:

  • Understand customer requests and manage pricing, order entry, manufacturing, and shipment of all products to satisfy the customer
  • Survey customers quarterly to assess customer satisfaction level; take appropriate actions to improve satisfaction level
  • Maintain customer relationships by answering questions with speed, accuracy, and courtesy
  • Manage database records and maintain status reports on customer service issues
  • Work with management and sales to improve customer services

 

Administration:

  • Keep in line with company’s accredited certifications and safety policy
  • Provide leadership to staff to encourage problem solving
  • Data entry, expedites, de-expedites, cancellations, BOM updates, PD updates

Position Qualifications:

 

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree

 

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years experience

 

Certifications:  PMP preferred

 

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

 

  • Must possess outstanding communication skills, both verbally and in writing

 

Computer Skills:

 

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word skills as evidenced by the ability to perform all of the basic functions as well as create moderately complex documents containing tables and graphs, and ability to mail merge documents, apply page setup functions (margins, page numbers, footers, headers), create an index and/or table of contents, use search & replace, print labels and envelopes
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills as evidenced by the ability to perform all of the basic functions as well as the ability to use workbooks, link data, create and edit charts, change page orientation, add headers and footers, filter and sort lists, format data, insert rows, enter and sort data and produce graphs and charts
  • Intermediate Microsoft Powerpoint skills as evidenced by the ability to create and save a presentation, add titles, edit and delete slides, reordering slides, applying slide masters, checking spelling, and adding clip art
  • Intermediate Microsoft Project skills as evidenced by the ability to create and save a project files, add tasks, edit and delete dependencies, generate timelines, define resources, create and generate gantt charts.

 

 

Physical Activity Requirements:

 

Work Environment: Office environment where the noise level is generally quiet to moderately noisy

 

Work Position: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking around

 

Body Movements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, reach, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

 

Weight Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 20lbs

 

Sensory Requirements: Vision, speech, hearing, smell and touch are routinely used in day to day functions

 

Travel Requirements:

 

Ability to travel up to 25% of year to support customer meetings and program reviews
