Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in major component exchanges for wind turbines, including but not limited to gearboxes, generators, and blades.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on turbine systems.
- Ensure all work is conducted in strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Record detailed reports on maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of turbine systems and components.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and adhere to safety-first culture.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education And Work Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in wind turbine maintenance preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Safety conscious mindset and adherence to safety regulations
- Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice
- Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
