The Director of Career Services Role.
The Director of Career Services at IE NYC leads all aspects of career services for students at IENYC, along with providing individualized career counseling and job search guidance to graduate students. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally to ensure students receive white-glove service and high-touch support as they navigate their job prospects after graduation. This role collaborates with student experience leadership, employer partnerships outreach, and academic faculty to inform the university’s efforts with the opportunities students seek in the job market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate career educational services, including workshops, online courses, and professional development programs tailored to business students.
- Coordinate student career resources including referrals to specialized advisors, online programs, and introductions within the IE network.
- Conduct one-on-one career advising sessions with students and alumni on topics such as resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, networking, and job search strategies.
- Review and provide feedback on application materials, LinkedIn profiles, and personal branding strategies.
- Maintain current knowledge of job market trends, including employer expectations and new opportunities.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of career fairs, employer visits, and on-campus recruiting events.
- Track student engagement and outcomes according to university reporting standards, presenting and reporting results both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in College Career Services, Talent Acquisition or Human Resources
- Proven ability to provide mentorship and guidance to early-career professionals
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant field
- Able to be on campus at IE NYC on a weekly basis.
Salary Range & Benefits Package:
- Annual Salary: $100,000 - $110,000
- Additional discretionary bonus based on performance metrics.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401k plan.
