We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of our hospitality and homebuilding divisions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and experience in multi-entity environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with monthly close and accounts payable workflow
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare financial statements and internal reports for management review
- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Collaborate with operations teams at club and homebuilding sites to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Identify process improvements and support implementation
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Support financial planning and analysis for club operations and homebuilding projects
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, real estate, or construction
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Solid grasp of project and cost accounting
- Experience with accounting software (NetSuite, BRIX/Hyphen, or similar ERP systems)
- Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
