Job description
This is a first shift, full time position, working in a climate controlled, and friendly atmosphere. Our machinists are required to perform all programming on Okuma lathes, with conversational controls. One machinist will run 2 lathes, keeping them running efficiently throughout the day. Daily and Saturday overtime may be required. 1. Set up and operate CNC lathes to perform tasks such as
2. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
3. Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
4. Perform routine machine maintenance
5. Welding: MIG and TIG welding
Desired Skills and Experience
1. Must be able to setup, program, and run Okuma CNC lathes.
2. Able to read, interpret, and utilize metric prints and tools.
3. Experience turning both soft and hard tool steels.
4. Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices.
5. Must be prepared to demonstrate capabilities at interview.
6. Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
7. Experience in machining and blueprint reading
