IDS International is looking for a full-time Armed Security Guard to support our contract overseeing the Truman Presidential Library in Independence, Missouri and will report to our Program Manager.
32 Hours/week
Night shift

Night shift
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of visibility at all times and surveil visitors in the Library and Museum for suspicious activities.
- Patrol the interior and exterior of the facility, as well as monitor a closed-circuit television feed to prevent unauthorized access and limit other incidents
- Secure and monitor access points during hours of operation, search bags as needed and monitor visitors throughout the facility
- Guards will register guests into the research room and ensure rules and protocols are followed
- When required, detain violators and prepare detailed incident reports
- Attend and provide security during special events and VIP visits involving high profile government officials
- Be a citizen of the United States AND be at least 21 years of age
- Have the ability to pass all pre-employment physicals and testing as the job requires standing for extended periods of time
- Received a minimum high school diploma or GED
- Three years of military, security or law enforcement experience within the last 5 years
- Applicants should be proficient with firearms and pass a firearms qualification course
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
