The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
- Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living settings for chronic, pressure, surgical, and complex wounds.
- Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients/caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing.
- Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, NP licensure, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of NP, PA, MD, or DO experience is needed.
- Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility, and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Key duties include wound assessment, treatment, supervision, documentation, team communication, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Works independently in varied environments, demonstrating strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Position involves travel, exposure to biohazards, and requires flexibility and professionalism.
