iDrive Auto Parts is seeking a motivated and hardworking Pre-Crush / End-of-Life Vehicle Dismantler to join our growing team. This role focuses on dismantling remaining sellable components from end-of-life vehicles prior to crushing.
These vehicles are typically already partially dismantled (engine and transmission removed), leaving body panels, interior components, suspension parts, and specialty items that must be carefully removed, processed, and prepared.
This is a hands-on, outdoor position ideal for someone with automotive dismantling experience who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Dismantle end-of-life vehicles prior to crushing, focusing on remaining sellable components
- Remove body panels, interior parts, suspension components, beds, frames, rear carriers, and other specialty items
- Perform specialty cuts on vehicles when required
- Pull miscellaneous parts to fulfill customer orders as assigned
- Tag all removed parts accurately and verify condition matches tag descriptions
- Inspect parts for quality and damage prior to inventory processing
- Handle parts with care to prevent damage during removal
- Maintain clean dismantling practices to ensure resale quality
- Transport dismantled parts to shelving/warehouse areas
- Scan and warehouse parts into proper inventory locations
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production and fulfillment goals
Work Environment
- 100% outdoor work environment
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, cutting, and tool usage
Tools & Equipment
- Must have your own tools (required)
- Company does not provide personal dismantling tools
- Must be capable of using cutting tools and dismantling equipment safely
