Position Overview for the Senior Counsel, Commercial & Strategic Transactions:
- Provide legal guidance on customer and strategic partnership agreements, government and research contracts, licensing, and technology development agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS, data, vendor, and procurement agreements.
- Support the legal aspects of emerging technologies and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
- Drive high-impact decisions and support company growth through strategic legal counsel.
Requirements for the Senior Counsel, Commercial & Strategic Transactions:
- JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- 6 years of relevant legal experience, including substantial responsibility for complex commercial transactions; top-tier law firm training strongly preferred.
- Significant experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Experience in technology, advanced research, aerospace, defense, or regulated industries preferred.
- Comfort operating in a lean environment with high ownership and limited bureaucracy.
