Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Indirect Tax Analyst:
• Maintain the indirect tax compliance process, including business license files and sales tax audit support. • Assist with customer tax exemption certificates and ensure accurate record retention. • Prepare and process original and amended indirect tax returns and payments, ensuring all filing deadlines are met. • Communicate effectively with state and local taxing authorities, branch locations, and internal teams. • Support sales tax audit processes and provide necessary documentation to state auditors.
Required Skills for Indirect Tax Analyst:
• High School Diploma/GED with 1 years of related experience in indirect tax accounting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. • Experience with Vertex Series O and Vertex Returns Software is preferred. • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with moderate complexity.
