Senior Structural Engineer

This position is related to the industrial sector. Experience in this area is required.

Position Responsibilities:

This individual is intended to function as a senior structural engineer/project manager. The individual must be able to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service (internal and external) and as well as a drive to succeed. Additional project support and project management responsibilities will be assigned on a project by project basis. While this is an office based position, some travel may be required. Some of the responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Review and perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details and communicate same to others.. Individual is expected to be fully-versed in aspects of structural engineering for the industrial sector: including the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures and foundation systems.
• Maintaining project schedule, scope, profitability, and other project management functions
• Assist business development efforts by applying technical knowledge to identify and understand client needs and define scope of work requirements to support proposals.
• Coordinate effectively with other departments for multi-discipline projects
• Maintain and expand client relationships

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited University or equal
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with industrial structural design and/or project management
• Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
• Thorough knowledge and familiarity in using relevant codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree

• Knowledge and familiarity in using relevant codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI
• Very strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Individual must have a work history which represents increasing responsibility, inclusive of leadership without authority
