The Programme Coordinator coordinates implementation of the Mongolia Country Office’s “Strengthening Child Rights in Mongolia Through Digital Literacy and Legal Empowerment (2026-2027)” project. The Programme Coordinator reports to the Mongolia Country Office Programme Lead, and will also work in close coordination with the Programmes Department at IDLO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

Education and Work experience
For this consultancy position, IDLO shall engage the selected candidate under a national consultant contract for a fixed periof of 8 months from 1 May, 2026 to 31 December, 2026.
This consultancy is open to candidates who are nationals of the duty station or with permanent resident status or other legal authorization permitting them to work in the duty station

- Support day-to-day programmatic/project implementation, ensuring consistency with project design and IDLO processes and procedures;
- Monitor programmatic/project activities to ensure compliance with contracts and IDLO quality controls;
- Support programme development and programme representation among local and international partners.
Education and Work experience
- Graduate degree, Masters or equivalent, in Law, International Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies or any other related field is required;
- Minimum of 3 - 5 ( three to five) years of relevant professional experience required, ideally with an international organization , and in a similar role;
- Technical knowledge of national and international law and policy related to child protection and child rights is required;
- Professional experience in human rights and child rights programmes would be a considerable asset;
- Familiarity with standard programme and data management methodologies, tools, and processes as well as results-based management and monitoring and evaluation principles;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fluent speaking and writing skills in English and Mongolian are required;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, p roficient use of other ICT software and internet software;
- Works well with others and actively participates, shares information, contributes, encourages and motivates others to become involved in team activities;
- Resilient, able to work under pressure with tight deadlines, flexible and an entrepreneurial spirit;
- Ability and willingness to travel to the field, when necessary;
- Keen sense of ethics, integrity, and commitment to IDLO’s mandate.
