Serve as the primary in-house SAP functional lead, working in conjunction with with the IT department and the SAP Support team to ensure seamless continued system operation.
Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to identify business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and implement system enhancements.
Support continued integration of financial processes with operational modules, ensuring accurate end-to-end data flow and reporting.
Configure, test, and deploy updates to SAP solutions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards.
Directly support twice-yearly SAP Public Cloud system updates
Troubleshoot system issues, manage change requests, and oversee the lifecycle of SAP enhancements from design through post-implementation support.
Participate in ongoing pre-go-live project activities, including data migration.
Support ongoing optimization initiatives to improve system efficiency and business process performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to align SAP system capabilities with organizational objectives.
5 years of hands-on SAP functional and technical experience in Finance (FI/CO) modules.
Proven knowledge of key FI/CO components: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Financial Closing.
Understanding of SAP integration points.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial processes into system configurations.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Energy industry (coal, and power generation).
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance environment or conversion projects.
Experience with SAP Public Cloud
Working knowledge of SAP Reporting Tools (Fiori, Analysis for Office).
Experience with Project Systems (PS) or Plant Maintenance (PM) as they relate to financial reporting and cost tracking.
