The Role: The KZValve Site Leader role is responsible for delivering Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity to achieve our customer commitments and drive opportunities for sustainable growth. The successful candidate will achieve financial and customer-facing metrics, through developing a strong culture of continuous improvement with a hyper-focus on 80/20 methodologies for success. The successful candidate will provide leadership, strategic vision, and functional expertise required to effectively lead a highly accountable and motivated KZValve operations. Additionally, they will act as a customer advocate collaborating across business functions and processes ensuring the best customer experience, while recognizing the needs of stakeholders. This position reports directly to IDEX’s Agriculture Group President and is located in Greenwood, NE. Estimated travel will be no more than 20% across the USA, with potential for limited international travel. The Responsibilities: • Direct leadership of the KZValve Operations which includes safety, quality, manufacturing engineering, assembling, logistics, maintenance, and planning functions, driving a strong culture of accountability to all stakeholders • Deploy 8020 methodologies with a Continuous Improvement mentality for creating sustainable growth and value to our key customers • Collaborate closely through a robust SIOP process along with Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to deliver operating plan results with a high degree of accuracy • Develop, control, and measure improvements to increase efficiencies and drive profitability, optimizing the overall footprint of the organization • Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement • Create proactive safety programs with a minimum adherence to all federal, state, and local regulatory safety laws, while leading the business’ social and environmental responsibility efforts • Analyze outcomes, develop, and direct organizational operations, goals, projects, in order to overdrive results and win • Build great teams through regular performance management, assessing organizational structure to align with the changing needs of the business, ensuring a high-performing outcome, and strong bench of talent. • Understand and advance the morale and spirit of the business through focused engagement plans • Engage with the Agriculture Senior Leadership team actively to develop and execute our strategic plans and in delivering collective results The Expectations for Success: Success will be measured by achieving financial and operational metrics to include, but not limited by: • Safety: Zero incidences through a proactive employee awareness program and preventative, well maintained environment • On Time Delivery: > 97.5% for 80’s customers, 96% overall • Inventory Turns: 4.0 • Inventory Accuracy: > 98% • SIOP Accuracy:> 98% • Productivity: Achieve AOP OPEX goals, with 4-5% productivity improvements annually through CI actions • Labor Efficiency & Indirect Savings: improve 5% from baseline • Quality: COPQ of < 0.3% • Employee Engagement: Achieve and sustain 80% , while reducing attrition rates Ownership of the following organizational processes and areas of business are the responsibilities of this role: • Safety Procedures and Plans • Quality Procedures, Processes, and ISO9001:2015 and customer requirements • On-Time Delivery and Accuracy • Productivity and OPEX savings through a continuous improvement mindset • SIOP planning • CAPEX management and deployment • Team building and coaching The Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, Qualities and Capabilities • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources • Strong understanding of methods of serving critical customers by exceeding quality standards, conducting key customer assessments and evaluation of customer satisfaction • Highly adept in P&L and Balance Sheet understanding and management, with basic understanding of accounting practices and protocols • Working knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing of goods. • Demonstrated ability and desire to coach others • 7 years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Continuous Improvement, Engineering or Business; advanced degree preferred • Strong background in production, logistics, and planning functions • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional and matrixed teams • Deep experience in delivering sustainable results through Continuous Improvement utilizing LEAN toolsets • Demonstrates leadership within a safety culture • Effectively communicates vision and strategy, while distilling to discrete actions which all can understand their impact and role • Proficient in MSOffice products and comfortable learning and adapting to other digital platforms.
