Title: Senior Solutions Architect - Customer Data (CDP) and Loyalty
Location: Remote - Washington DC
Duration: Long-term (16 Months)
Basic Architecture Patterns
Layered architecture (UI → API → services → data)
Microservices vs monolith tradeoffs
Event-driven architecture fundamentals (pub/sub, async messaging)
API & Integration Design
REST/JSON APIs (design, versioning, error handling)
Basic understanding of GraphQL (nice-to-have given your mobile/BFF context)
Data Fundamentals
Data modeling basics (entities, relationships, normalization vs denormalization)
Understanding of customer data platforms (CDP concepts)
Cloud Fundamentals (AWS preferred)
Compute (EC2, containers, serverless basics)
Storage (S3, RDS, DynamoDB concepts)
Networking basics (VPC, subnets, security groups)
Hiring Manager Notes:
Solutions Architect with Customer domain experience in loyalty and marketing rather than UI.
Data Integrations experience.
Data Fundamentals/ APIs experience
CDP (Customer Data Platform/ Customer Data Domain/ Customer Domain) knowledge is critical
ETL experience
Knowledge of CRM Concepts
AEM/ AEM experience is a plus
Airlines/ Bus/ Rail/ Hotel/ Entertainment industry/ domain experience
