Job Description
We are seeking a hands on mechanically inclined individual capable of performing a variety of duties using established methods and procedures, sequences and set-ups in test. Areas of work will include Aircraft wheel and brake assembly and test for commercial and military programs. The work will range from building, testing and documenting to cleaning the work area. This is a dirty environment.
Responsibility & Duties include:
- Must perform recurring work independently
- Must be able to troubleshoot routine problems including mechanical, electrical and processes
- Must be able to read and use micrometers, torque wrenches and other inspection equipment
- Must be knowledgeable and comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
- Must be available and willing to work any of 3 shifts (1st, 2nd or 3rd) as required
- Must be available for overtime when necessary
- Work will be reviewed for technical adequacy and conformity with instructions
- Must be quality grounded and self-directed
- Requires effective and timely service to meet daily requirements
- Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Will performs a variety of tasks while working under general supervision - typically reporting to a supervisor or manager
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent minimum
- Mechanical aptitude is essential
- Must be a U.S. Citizenship or US Lawful Permanent Resident
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and complex written procedures
- Must be acquainted with and able to use Microsoft Office and possess general PC knowledge
-Additional Qualifications:
- 1 year or more of engineering test lab experience is a plus
- Previous automotive, aircraft or equipment maintenance experience is a plus
- Secondary education a plus but not required
