We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant Intern to support our Corporate Accounting team for the summer. This role offers hands-on experience with financial processes, reporting, and intercompany activities in a fast-paced environment. This internship is located at our Chicago office with a hybrid model schedule (Onsite Tuesday-Thursday) – Duration June-August.

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant Intern to support our Corporate Accounting team for the summer. This role offers hands-on experience with financial processes, reporting, and intercompany activities in a fast-paced environment. This internship is located at our Chicago office with a hybrid model schedule (Onsite Tuesday-Thursday) – Duration June-August.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Record daily cash activity and other corporate transactions
- Support intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and weekly statements
- Assist with variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Partner with Accounts Payable and field teams as a corporate liaison
- Maintain schedules, documentation, and audit support materials
- Contribute to process improvements and special projects
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Previous internship or coursework in accounting or finance
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy with strong organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Hands-on experience in corporate accounting operations
- Exposure to real-world financial reporting, intercompany processes, and analysis
- Mentorship from experienced finance professionals
- Development of technical and professional skills
- Networking opportunities within the organization
