Role Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of hourly production employees to safely achieve production, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role partners closely with Operations and cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and foster a high‑engagement, performance‑driven culture.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Actively promote safety programs and safe work practices through safety observations, safety committee participation, and daily floor presence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable safety and quality standards.
- Manage daily production operations to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime to support on-time product delivery.
- Prioritize and adjust production activities in alignment with the production plan.
- Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees through clear expectations, ongoing feedback, and performance accountability.
- Assign and adjust daily labor schedules to meet changing business needs.
- Address performance, attendance, safety, and quality issues using sound judgment and in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct daily Gemba walks to identify opportunities for improvement and reinforce standard work.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to provide clear expectations, coaching, and corrective feedback in a fair and consistent manner.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change while maintaining safety, quality, and engagement.
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ERP/SAP experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with hourly employees, peers, and senior management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Will manage a team of hourly production employees.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and move throughout the production floor.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
