Requirements:
- Armed: 20-hour OPOTA Certificate (Can acquire post-employment)
- Approved firearm according to company policy
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to pass a FBI/BCI&I background check
- Must be at least 21 years old at time of hire
- Ability to remain alert and vigilant throughout assigned shifts
- Capable of standing and/or walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
- Ability to sit for extended periods when assigned to stationary posts
- Sufficient stamina to patrol designated areas on foot
- Physical capability to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs
- Capable of occasional lifting/carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to physically operate security equipment such as radios, cameras, and access control systems
- Visual acuity sufficient to monitor security cameras and observe surroundings (corrective lenses permitted)
- Hearing ability adequate to respond to alarms and verbal communications (hearing aids permitted)
- Manual dexterity to operate communication devices and write reports
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions including indoor and outdoor settings
Our company is seeking highly skilled and motivated Private Investigators/Security Officers to join our team!

IDER Security also offers to pay for one class every six months relating to the job for continued education and success. As listed below, one large draw is our flexible schedule to accommodate anything life may throw your way. We do require only two holidays to be worked: 4th of July and New Years Eve.
Responsibilities:
- Navigate through the City of Toledo and patrol all assigned areas with marked patrol vehicles to:
- Investigate crimes.
- Collect evidence as it pertains to active investigations
- Protect residents and property
- Conduct mobile and foot patrols as needed per site
- Communicate with the public and conduct follow-ups
- Respond to calls for service promptly
