Identity is seeking a Freelance Video Editor for an immediate need to support our team on a specific project, and on a continuing as-needed basis—bringing strong foundational understanding of video editing and production thinking, versatility, and efficient execution across a range of client work. This role is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented video editor who can flex across projects and deliver high-quality video for a fast-paced agency environment.
You’ll partner with our internal teams to bring ideas to life—executing brand-aligned video across digital and web while maintaining consistency, craft, and attention to detail.
What You’ll Do:
- Edit short-form video content for social media, including reels and platform-specific assets.
- Assist in filming content at client events and on-location shoots.
- Provide on-set production support for larger video shoots.
- Cull, organize and prep footage for larger video projects.
- Capture and edit behind-the-scenes (BTS) content for Identity’s channels.
- Support light animation and motion graphics using After Effects.
What You’ll Bring:
- 1-3 years of professional or freelance experience in video editing or production.
- A compelling portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, strong creative concepts, and high-level video execution across digital.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Basic to intermediate experience with After Effects or similar tools for light animation.
- Strong understanding of social-first video editing, pacing, and platform best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining quality, organization, and timeliness.
- A collaborative mindset, with comfort working alongside internal teams and incorporating feedback effectively.
- Comfortable in both editing and production environments.
