Position Summary:
Identity Group – Brunswick Campus is a fast paced, ever changing environment delivering exciting sign and visual decor projects to major retailers and grocery clients nationwide. The Painter Associate is a key part of this service.
The Painter Associate mixes paint formulas to produce PMS colors, and operates spray paint equipment to apply color surface to letters, panels, and signage and any other equipment or processes required to produce quality product efficiently and cost effectively with a minimum of supervision.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Perform prep and paint functions.
- Prepare paint by blending and mixing.
- Able to check colors with various color management books.
- Store, handle and dispose of paint, stain, varnish, and other chemicals according to established procedures.
- Ensure rooms, booths, and controls are cleaned regularly.
- Complete paperwork as appropriate.
- Report quality issues, supply needs, equipment breakdowns, accidents/injuries to Supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with both Management and fellow Team Members.
- Comply with all Identity Group policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of company and employee information.
- Performs other job functions as assigned by manager or designee.
Requirements:
- Strong math skills required for formula mixing.
- Must be able to read and interpret procedures and make quality judgements.
- Must be willing to be cross-trained and work in multiple areas when assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly must be able to sit, talk, see, hear and occasionally walk.
- Continuous standing may be required as well as frequent lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required 2-3 years related experience
