Overview: Supports the local IT Infrastructure team responsible for maintaining the technology environment that enables secure manufacturing operations. This position provides hands-on support for enterprise networking, Windows servers, virtualization, backup, telecommunications, and production infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence.
Performs work under general supervision and collaborates with other Infrastructure Administrators and IT Support Specialists.
Responsibilities:
- Support enterprise LAN, WAN, VPN and network infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot switches, routing, VLANs, wireless authentication and network connectivity.
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy administration.
- Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Assist with backup administration, disaster recovery testing and business continuity activities.
- Install and maintain servers, network switches, storage systems and rack infrastructure.
- Support structured cabling, fiber optic connectivity and network patch panels.
- Support secure file transfer platforms and production network connectivity.
- Coordinate with telecommunications, Internet and infrastructure vendors.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes and site projects.
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
- Participate in ISO, PCI, customer and internal audits as required.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for infrastructure-related incidents.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical production systems.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen.
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT Infrastructure experience
Education
- Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Technical Environment:
- Networking: Aruba CX Switching, Aruba ClearPass, Forcepoint Firewalls, TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing & Switching, VPN, Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics
- Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PowerShell (basic scripting)
- Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Proxmox (plus)
- Backup & Storage: Backup: Veeam | Storage: SAN / NAS
- Database: Microsoft SQL Server
