IDEMIA Public Security is looking for a motivated Logistics Control Clerk to join our dynamic supply chain team. This entry-level role provides essential support for logistics operations, including shipment coordination, documentation accuracy, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with clerical and administrative tasks for sales and logistics, including preparing spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence.
- Review order forms, prepare purchase orders, and verify bills of lading or invoices against purchase records.
- Authorize payments or shipments in accordance with company procedures.
- Create shipping labels and related documents, prepare and ship packages, and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of imports and exports.
- Enter shipment dimensions and weights into systems and send details to brokers for qualified bids.
- Support scheduling of shipments, obtaining trucking quotes, arranging pickups/deliveries, and monitoring timelines.

- Help process domestic freight claims and analyze rates under guidance.
- Manage Air and Sea Waybills and assist with international shipping documentation.
- Process freight billing in Great Plains (GP) or Kofax and maintain accurate records.
- Verify shipping documents for accuracy and help create proformas for customs clearance.
- Communicate with Customs Brokers (Canada, US, and Europe) and track shipments via FedEx, UPS, DHL.
- Perform other administrative and logistics tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics or administrative support (internship or entry-level experience acceptable).
- Basic understanding of shipping documentation and customs processes.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow company safety and quality procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Great Plains preferred.
- Exposure to international shipping processes.
- Experience with freight tracking systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL).
