Job Summary:
The Warehouse Team Member will receive finished goods in the warehouse, pull and prepare orders for shipment, and load orders onto to carrier to meet customer requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assures compliance to all required industry standards and government requirements as stated in the Ideal-Tridon Quality Manual, Quality Management System, process documentation, and all Company Human Resources, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines to ensure customer requirements are met.
- While operating a forklift, the operator has the responsibility and authority to remove the equipment from service following EHS-20-0042. Notification will be made to the Maintenance Department.
- While operating an order picker, the operator has the responsibility and authority to adhere to the Ideal-Tridon Fall Protection guidelines found in EHS-20-0023.
- Responsibility and authority to shut down machine operation when quality, safety, or environmental issues arise. The operator will notify the supervisor, lead, or other appropriate manager.
- Has the responsibility and authority to ship the correct product to customers, and to stop shipments that are not the intended product for that customer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspects and checks merchandise for damage or defects.
- Stores merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Picks, packs, and prepares orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials as needed.
- Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory purposes.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and machinery (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience required.
- Previous high volume-high height order picking warehouse/shipping experience required.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in performing accurate count quantities and processing orders per written instructions required.
- Experience completing and processing warehouse and shipping documents preferred.
- Previous warehouse and high-height stand-up reach forklift order picking experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
- May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds at a time.
- Must have standup forklift experience
