We are seeking an Assembly Operator on 1st and 2nd Shift to join our team at Wesanco in Smyrna TN!

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift

1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Hourly Rate: $19.00 $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd shift

Job Summary

Performs repetitive and standardized assembly operations using assembly tools.

Essential Functions Of Job

• Performs repetitive and standardized assembly operations using assembly tools.
• Checks quality of parts visually and by the use of calipers as required by work order.
• Records production parts produced on appropriate production card.
• Reports any problems to the Production Team Lead.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Good dexterity to handle small parts
• Accuracy and attention to detail is required
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on regular basis
• Ability to remain in standing position more than 95% of working hours.
  
  

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
  
  

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related assembly experience.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
• May occasionally drive forklifts and operate equipment.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
