What are the responsibilities and job description for the Michigan-Based Trauma-Informed TeleahealthTherapist position at Ideal Psychology Group?
Leave the burnout behind; build the neuro-affirming caseload you love with the support you deserve at Ideal Psychology Group
If you are currently working in an environment that feels draining, we want you to know there is a better way to do this work. You didn’t become a therapist to spend your days feeling stuck or managing endless crises while your own well-being sits on the back burner.
Ideal Psychology Group (IPG) is a Michigan-based, fully virtual practice created by a therapist for therapists. We are deeply committed to neuro-affirming and trauma-informed care. We are looking for clinicians who are ready for a professional life that actually fills their cup and allows them to see real growth in their clients
What actually makes IPG the clinical home you’ve been looking for:
Trade the commute for comfort. Enjoy the freedom of a fully virtual position. You set your own schedule and work from a space where you feel grounded. No more fighting traffic or being tied to a physical office that doesn't inspire you.
Caseloads where you actually see progress. One of the hardest parts of a mismatched job is the high turnover and lack of clinical progress. At IPG, we match you with clients who are a great fit for your specific skills and interests. You will work with motivated individuals navigating ADHD, Autism, OCD, and trauma, allowing you to finally experience the fulfillment of seeing your clients make lasting, meaningful changes.
We handle the business so you can focus on healing. Say goodbye to the headache of verifying insurance or chasing down payments. We provide full administrative and billing support, including initial client outreach, so you can focus 100% on the therapeutic work you love
Supervision. If you are a limited license clinician (LLMSW or LLPC), we provide the clinical supervision you need to grow and thrive. We want to invest in your long-term development and help you feel truly confident in your clinical identity
Real community and connection. We know remote work can feel lonely; so we stay connected through weekly peer consultation and gather quarterly for in-person team meetups to share a meal and a laugh. You get the autonomy of private practice with the heartbeat of a supportive team
Onboarding that respects your time. Our 90-day onboarding program ensures you feel grounded and confident in our systems as you start seeing clients.
Who we are looking for:
- Fully licensed in Michigan (LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LP) or limited license (LLMSW, LLPC)
- A genuine heart for neurodivergent affirming and trauma-informed work
- Someone who is ready for a virtual, autonomous, and supportive environment where they can actually grow
- Preferred: training in EMDR, IFS, somatic work, or DBT; or lived experience as a neurodivergent individual.
The perks at a glance:
- Competitive compensation as a 1099 contractor with quarterly performance bonuses
- Clinical supervision provided for limited license clinicians
- Full control over your schedule and caseload size
- Quarterly in-person team meetups and weekly peer consultation
- Training stipends up to $1,000 per year to support your growth
- Full administrative and billing support (zero claims for you to chase!)
We would love to hear your story and help you transition into a role where you can finally thrive. IPG is growing, and we want to grow with clinicians who care.
