Automotive Paint Technician / Body Shop Painter (Matte Finish Experience Required)

Ideal Paint Repair is a nationwide automotive reconditioning company working with dealerships and high-end automotive clients across the U.S. We are expanding and looking for an experienced Paint Technician / Body Shop Painter to join our team.
This is a full-time, hourly position—not commission-based—for a professional who can handle prep, repair, and paint at a high level.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle prep and painting from start to finish
- Spray and refinish matte and specialty finishes
- Accurately match paint colors and blends
- Perform minor body repair using Bondo / body filler
- Complete plastic welding repairs on bumpers and trim
- Sanding, masking, priming, basecoat, and clearcoat application
- Maintain quality, consistency, and clean work practices
- Follow safety procedures and company refinishing standards
Requirements
- Proven experience spraying matte finishes (required)
- Strong paint matching skills
- Experience with Bondo/body filler and plastic welding
- Full automotive prep and paint workflow experience
- Body shop or automotive refinishing experience required
- Detail-oriented with consistent quality output
- Ability to work independently and meet production goals
