About Us
Ideal Millwork & Hardware is a residential millwork and hardware distributor serving contractors and builders across the Nashville metro area. We're growing, and we're looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused team member to support our sales and purchasing operations.
About the Role
This is an inside sales and sales support role with some purchasing responsibilities. You'll be the go-to contact between our sales staff and contractor/builder customers — quoting, processing orders, following up on leads, and growing existing accounts — while also supporting purchasing coordination to keep the right inventory on hand. This role includes a performance-based bonus/commission structure tied to both individual and company performance, so there's real upside for someone who's motivated to build relationships and drive sales.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and order status
- Proactively follow up on leads and quotes to convert them to sales
- Grow and maintain existing contractor/builder accounts
- Support purchasing tasks: vendor communication, PO follow-up, and inventory coordination
- Track and communicate delivery timelines to customers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, delivery, and accounting teams
- Maintain accurate records in our ERP system (NetSuite)
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, or purchasing
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable with a sales-driven role
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets
- Experience with NetSuite preferred, not required
- Background in building materials, millwork, hardware distribution, or construction supply preferred, not required
Compensation
- Base salary: $50,000–$55,000
- Plus bonus/commission tied to individual and company performance
- Total target compensation: $55,000–$65,000
