The Sourcing Intern will support the Strategic Sourcing team by collecting and analysing supplier data, participating in team meetings, soliciting information from suppliers, and assisting with sourcing projects. The intern will gain exposure to procurement processes and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, analyse, and read data to provide insights
- Participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Analyze the impact of price changes using Excel to enhance business decision-making.
- Monitor commodity markets to track and report on trends.
- Request, evaluate, and compare vendor quotes for new product sourcing decisions.
- Update purchase orders, item pricing, and vendor data in ERP(D365) to ensure accurate records.
- Develop standard work for tasks performed in D365
- Support efficient email retention and record-keeping processes in line with ISO requirements
- Create data-driven insights with Microsoft Power BI and Excel to assess supplier spend, evaluate risk exposure, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Assist sourcing team with supplier research and sourcing initiatives.
- Support documentation and reporting for sourcing projects.
- Contribute to process improvement activities.
- Track progress monthly on key performance indicators
Requirements:
- Pursuing degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Basic supply chain understanding
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excel skills for data collection, spreadsheet organization and data analysis
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to manage time independently, meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
The expected pay rate for this position is between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour and is full-time.
