Role Description
This is a part-time or full-time Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide (HHA/PCA) role. NY. The HHA/PCA will assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and other essential tasks to support their independence and comfort. The role also involves actively collaborating with clients, families, and the agency healthcare team to ensure exceptional care and safety.
Qualifications
- Experience and skills in Home Care and Patient Care to provide quality support for individuals in their own homes
- Skills in Personal Care and proficiency in assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing quality care
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) is required
- Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures and understanding of working with individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia is preferred
- CPR and first aid certification is a plus
- Reliable transportation or the ability to commute to client locations in Suffolk and Nassau
