Job Title

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry / Neuro / Stroke unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Perform IV starts and administer treatments in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
- Care for neurology and stroke patients, including NIHSS assessments
- Float within the facility and participate in holiday and every-other-weekend rotations as required per contract
- Complete required pre-start modules prior to orientation
- Active Virginia or compact RN license in hand at time of submittal — no exceptions
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience with travel nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR required — no exceptions
- Must pass an EKG/telemetry test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt; no remediation available)
- Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patient populations
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills including sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing
- Comfort with higher patient ratios in a fast-paced medical surgical environment.
$2126 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
