Position Overview:
Our team plays a vital role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. You will be responsible for conducting essential diagnostic tests, assisting with patient inquiries, and scheduling appointments efficiently. We seek a friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable individual who is committed to delivering compassionate care and is eager to learn and grow within the field of ophthalmology.
Seeking candidates for entry level as well as skilled professionals in other areas of Ophthalmology such as Surgical Counselors.
Role and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Conducting various tests such as Visual Acuity (VAs), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), IOL Master, Autorefraction, Auto Lensometry, Icare Tonometer, Visual Fields (HVF), and Topography.
- Answering phones and providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.
- Scheduling appointments efficiently and accurately to optimize patient flow.
- Collaborating with team members while also being capable of working independently.
- Traveling to other locations as scheduled.
- Warmly greeting patients upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcome and valued—because who doesn’t love a friendly face?
- Notifying technicians promptly when patients arrive for their appointments, keeping the flow smooth like butter.
- Handling incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to patient care.
- Efficiently scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar, because a well-organized schedule is the backbone of a successful practice.
- Verifying patients' medical insurance information and eligibility—think of it as a friendly game of “What’s Your Policy?”.
- Ensuring accuracy of patient demographics in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, because accuracy is key to ensuring every patient gets the care they deserve.
Qualifications
- Friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable with a strong patient-centric mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
- Experience in ophthalmology is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.

- Monday to Friday
- Travel to satellite offices 2-4 per month
