Optometric Technician and Front Desk

Ideal Eye Care is searching for an individual or individuals with enthusiastic and caring personalities who exude exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

• Schedule patients for comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, pre-op and post-op appointments, medical examinations and follow-ups
• Verify insurance coverage and benefits
• Perform and explain in an enthusiastic manner the preliminary examinations on each patient which includes: auto-refractor, NCT, visual acuities, optos fundus imaging, confrontational visual fields, extraocular muscle testing, color vision testing, stereopsis testing and inputting results into the EMR system
• Emphasis on educating patients the benefits and importance of the optos fundus imaging, which will lead to excellent monthly bonuses
• Instruct patients on proper contact lens care and teaching new contact lens patients the proper way to insert and remove a contact lens
• Explaining and assisting patients with paperwork and proper filing
• Maintain a positive and professional environment and atmosphere

Position Requirements:

• Previous optical/technician experience (not required)
• A strong sales background in order to achieve monthly personal and clinic goals
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Detail oriented and organized
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to problem solve and exude empathy in all interactions

The position will include 2 weeks of training in all aspects of the job position and requirements. Great monthly bonus in addition to base pay and the opportunity for quick raises based on performance.
