We are seeking an experienced Dental Front Desk / Treatment Coordinator to join our team, support our patients, and contribute to the continued growth of our practice.
About the Position
We are looking for a friendly, professional, organized, and dependable team member with strong dental front office experience.
A minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience is required. Candidates must have experience working specifically in the front office of a dental practice. Medical office or other healthcare front-office experience does not meet this requirement.
Treatment planning and treatment coordination experience is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a busy dental schedule, working with dental insurance, communicating financial information to patients, and helping patients move forward with recommended treatment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide a friendly, professional front-office experience
- Answer phones and manage patient communications
- Schedule and confirm appointments and effectively manage the daily dental schedule
- Coordinate patient check-in and check-out
- Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage
- Understand and communicate insurance estimates and patient financial responsibility
- Submit dental insurance claims and supporting documentation
- Follow up on outstanding claims and assist with resolving insurance issues
- Collect patient payments and assist with billing and account questions
- Present and explain treatment plans to patients
- Discuss treatment costs, insurance estimates, financing, and payment options
- Schedule recommended treatment and follow up with patients regarding unscheduled or incomplete treatment
- Manage recalls, confirmations, and patient follow-up
- Maintain accurate patient records and front-office documentation
- Work closely with the doctor, hygienist, assistants, and office manager to maintain an efficient daily workflow
- Help provide an exceptional patient experience from the initial phone call through completion of treatment
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of dental front office experience is required.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with:
- Dental appointment scheduling and schedule management
- Dental insurance verification and benefits
- Dental insurance claims
- Patient billing and collections
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Dental terminology and common dental procedures
- Dental practice-management software
- Professional patient communication
Treatment planning and treatment coordination experience is strongly preferred, including experience presenting treatment plans, discussing financial arrangements, and helping patients schedule recommended treatment.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Strong communication and customer-service skills

This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience working in the front office of a dental practice. Medical office, general healthcare, receptionist, or other non-dental front-office experience does not substitute for the required dental front office experience.

$20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on dental front office experience, treatment coordination experience, and qualifications.
