Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Professional who can come in and run our payroll process front-to-back. You will be Human Resources in title, with opportunity to support HR functions and grow into a multi-field professional. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality, excellent customer service, advanced administrative and organizational skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, and knowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulations for both Human Resources and Payroll compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process the complete cycle of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities utilizing Paylocity payroll software.
- Review payroll reports, ensure accuracy of payroll and all weekly and bi-weekly adjustments.
- Reconcile payroll data, track PTO and overtime, and apply wage/tax deductions, garnishments, and levies accurately.
- Accurately and timely maintain payroll and related employee files & records.
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, termination paperwork; including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws and update policies and procedures when necessary.
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Handle all Human Resources and payroll administration paperwork (unemployment, workers compensation, employment verification, Garnishments, Levies, Wage Attachments.)
- Assist with benefit open enrollment on both company and employee level.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage regulations.
- Modifying and maintaining accurate workflow processes in the payroll department.
- Research and reconcile payroll and benefits enrollment discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records and information.
- Assist with ACA reporting requirements, employee benefits administration and coordination.
- Responsible for 401K compliance and yearly audit.
- Assist with all HR and Payroll reporting needs.
- Ad Hoc projects & analysis as needed.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree required in Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' human resources generalist and payroll processing experience is required.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong math skills required.
- Establishing payroll in new states.
- Payroll certification is a plus.
- HR certification is a plus.
- Experience with Paylocity and Vanguard is a plus.
