Pay: $20–$26/hour, based on experience and skills
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Typical Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Position Length: Approximately 3 months
Potential for Year-Round Employment: Yes
About the Position
Trombly House of Cannabis is looking for two dependable, hard-working individuals to join our team for the final approximately three months of our outdoor cannabis season.
We are entering the most important part of the outdoor production cycle. These positions will help bring our crop through the final stages of flower, harvest, drying, curing, and preparation for sale.
This is a hands-on outdoor agricultural position involving significant physical work. Applicants should expect to spend most of the season working outside around large cannabis plants, trellis systems, farm equipment, and changing Vermont weather conditions.
The work will change as the season progresses. Early responsibilities will focus heavily on plant maintenance, undercutting, defoliation, trellising, and preparing the crop for harvest. Once harvest begins, the position will transition into cutting, moving, hanging, drying, curing, bucking, sorting, and processing cannabis for sale.
These are initially temporary seasonal positions, but we are also using this opportunity to identify people who may be a strong fit for our operation long-term.
Exceptional employees may be offered permanent, year-round full-time positions following the outdoor season.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on the needs of the crop and stage of the season and may include:
- Undercutting cannabis plants
- Defoliating and managing plant canopies
- Installing, maintaining, and adjusting trellis systems
- Supporting and training large outdoor plants
- General late-flower plant maintenance
- Crop scouting and reporting potential plant problems
- Preparing plants and production areas for harvest
- Cutting and harvesting mature cannabis plants

- Hanging cannabis for drying
- Organizing and maintaining drying areas
- Monitoring and assisting with the drying and curing process
- Taking down dried plants
- Bucking flower from branches
- Sorting and grading finished cannabis
- Trimming and other post-harvest processing
- Preparing finished cannabis for packaging and sale
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment
- General farm maintenance and cleanup
- Assisting with other cultivation, harvest, and production responsibilities as needed
This is a farm operation, and employees should be comfortable helping wherever the team needs them.
