Overview of the Role
As a Packaging Associate, you play a vital role in ensuring our freshly baked bread is packaged accurately, hygienically, and with care. Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll be responsible for maintaining product quality and supporting our daily production goals. Your attention to detail and consistency directly impact the customer experience and our team’s success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Rotate Bread for Cooling: Ensure bread cools properly by rotating racks and avoiding product overlap.
- Slice Bread: Use designated slicing equipment safely and accurately.
- Package Finished Products: Maintain quality and consistency while packaging bread.
- Label Products: Ensure all items are labeled correctly for accurate identification.
- Stock & Rotate Inventory: Place overstock in the freezer and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
- Support Order Building & Staging: Help organize and stage customer orders for delivery.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Clean workstations and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Prep for the Next Day: Restock and prepare packaging stations for the following production day.
- Other Duties: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support the team and production flow.

Physical Requirements
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods

- Work in varied temperatures (warm production space and cold freezer)
- Bend, stoop, reach, and move quickly and safely in a team setting
- Wear company-provided apron/hairnet and follow safety/sanitation protocols
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- 0–1 years of production experience (food production a plus)
- Ability to follow instructions and work with a sense of urgency
- Must be detail-focused and demonstrate professional behavior
- Strong team mindset and communication skills
- Must be able to work safely around slicers and other bakery equipment
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
