Role Description:

The Maintenance Planner is directly responsible to the Maintenance Manager for supporting the Fort Lauderdale plant by performing the duties outlined below in order to assist in meeting plant goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintenance Planning / CMMS

· Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Creating schedules and assigning work orders to technicians. Builds and communicates accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all work management activities

· Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level

· Maintaining inventory: Ensuring technicians have the tools and parts they need. Prepares requisitions in the CMMS to ensure materials, parts, labor, and other charges are allocated to appropriate work, verify and order correct inventory and manage inventory spending. Manage spare parts and alignment between the maintenance department and stock room

· Reducing downtime: Planning and coordinating labor, parts, materials, and equipment access to avoid delays

· Improving productivity: Making recommendations to increase productivity and decrease costs

· Analyzes maintenance data and recommends specialized programs for improved methodologies and preventative/predictive maintenance programs to management. Developing manuals for training, maintenance, and reporting procedures

· Communicating: Writing detailed work orders and manuals, and meeting with work groups to resolve scheduling conflicts

· Ensuring compliance: Ensuring work activities are planned safely and environmentally sound, and that they comply with established codes and procedures

· Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual activity reports.

· Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of all equipment operations, maintenance procedures, and operating standards relating to the facility.

· Assist the maintenance team with maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor degree preferred

· 3 years of experience utilizing a CMMS system

· Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite

· Successfully pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen

Physical Demands:

· Ability to lift up to 50lbs and over 51lbs with assistance

· Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, balance, push/pull, and walk for long periods of time

· Finger dexterity to work keyboard or operate tools, grasp tools and carry objects

· Ability to see in the normal range of vision with or without correction sufficient to read computer screens, documents, dials, gauges, meter-reading equipment, and operate motor vehicles and equipment

· Hear in the normal audio with or without correction

Environmental Conditions:

Industrial environment working both indoors and outdoors continuously around:

· Loud noise

· Dust

· Heat

· Salt and fresh water

· Uneven, rough or slippery surfaces

· Hazardous chemicals in solid, liquid, and vapor form

· Toxic materials

· High and low voltage electricity

· Equipment under high pressure

· Heavy equipment

· Heights above 5 feet
