VP of Finance & Operations

Full-Time | Executive Leadership
About the Role
IDDBA is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance & Operations to lead the association’s financial strategy, administrative operations, HR collaboration, IT systems, and facilities management. This senior leader ensures operational excellence, supports the annual industry trade show, and serves as a strategic partner to the President/CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Direct annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee accounting operations, AP/AR, payroll review, and monthly close.
- Ensure GAAP and nonprofit compliance; lead annual audit and reporting processes.
- Manage cash flow, investments, risk mitigation, and financial controls.
- Monitor financial performance of major revenue streams, including the annual trade show.
Operations & Administration
- Lead organizational policies, administrative workflows, and cross-department operations.
- Oversee contracts, vendor management, purchasing, and compliance requirements.
- Support internal teams by aligning resources and operational infrastructure.
Human Resources Leadership
- Oversee HR activities in partnership with internal leadership and a fractional HR support partner.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Manage compensation frameworks, benefits oversight, and HR policies.
Information Technology Oversight
- Provide strategic direction for IT systems, cybersecurity, AMS/CRM, and digital operations.
- Manage IT budgets, vendors, systems integration, and data governance.
- Supervise IT staff or manage service providers.
Facilities & Office Operations
- Oversee office leases, maintenance, safety protocols, and space planning.
- Manage equipment procurement and operational continuity planning.
- Serve as main contact for property management partners.
Leadership & Strategic Support
- Contribute to strategic planning and organizational decision-making.
- Present operational and financial insights to the CEO, Board, and committees.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive leadership in finance and operations, ideally in a nonprofit or association environment.
- Experience overseeing HR, IT, and administrative functions preferred.
- Demonstrated success in budgeting, financial analysis, and audit coordination.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
- Proficiency with AMS/CRM platforms, financial systems, and cloud-based tools.
- Strong communication, vendor negotiation, and project management skills.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 30 days per year for events and organizational needs.
