Position Overview
The Director of Client Solutions (Sales) at IDC will play a key leadership role in strengthening client partnerships, expanding multi-service agreements, and securing new business opportunities across the media, entertainment, and digital distribution industries. This individual will leverage deep knowledge of content localization, post-production, and digital delivery to position IDC as a premier service partner.
The role is commission-driven, with compensation directly tied to revenue growth and client success. The successful candidate is entrepreneurial, client-focused, and adept at shaping strategic partnerships in a competitive global market.
Key Responsibilities
• Client Relationship Expansion
- Serve as the executive point of contact for major studios, broadcasters, and digital platforms.
- Expand existing service agreements to include dubbing, subtitling, captioning, accessibility, mastering, and delivery solutions.
- Develop long-term, trust-based relationships that foster recurring revenue streams.
• New Business Development
- Drive sales by acquiring new accounts within entertainment, OTT, and distribution sectors.
- Identify and pursue cross-market opportunities (international studios, global streaming providers).
- Build and manage a revenue-generating pipeline that reflects IDC’s growth targets.
• Competitive Market Positioning
- Provide leadership insights on how IDC can remain competitive in service offerings (e.g., AI-driven subtitling, faster turnaround, scalability).
- Work with Marketing to develop campaigns that position IDC as a top-tier localization and post-production provider.
- Deliver feedback to leadership on client demands, emerging trends, and potential service innovations.
• Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with operations, engineering, and project management teams to ensure service excellence.
- Translate client feedback into actionable service delivery improvements.
- Mentor junior sales staff and support company-wide revenue initiatives.
• Market Analysis
- Research and analyze client needs, preferences, and behaviors across multiple segments (content creators, traditional studios, OTT streamers, independent studios).
- Identify new service lines and emerging business opportunities through data and trend analysis.
• Lead Generation & Sales Cycle Management
- Proactively engage with prospective clients, respond to inbound leads, and manage the sales cycle with tailored pitches and proposals.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to support lead generation and ensure alignment with overall sales strategy.
- Partner with the Commercial Team to manage and close established lines of business.
• Performance Monitoring
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure progress against targets.
- Analyze sales and campaign performance to recommend adjustments that maximize outcomes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 8 years in sales, business development, or client solutions within media, entertainment, or post-production services.
• Established network of contacts within studios, broadcasters, and digital platforms.
• Proven ability to grow revenue and negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts.
• Deep understanding of subtitling, dubbing, localization, digital mastering, and distribution workflows.
• Strong contract negotiation, financial, and consultative selling skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and executive-level communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Cultural Sensitivity: Strong understanding of cultural nuances and consumer behavior across global markets.
• Business Acumen: Proven experience in media & entertainment/localization projects, including multi-language subtitling, large-scale dubbing, and accessibility initiatives.
• Project Management: Skilled at managing multiple international markets and concurrent projects effectively.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and clients.
• Localization Tools & Technology: Proficiency in localization and translation management systems (TMS); familiarity with AI, machine learning, automation, synthetic media, and large language models (LLMs).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capability to interpret data, evaluate trends, and make informed decisions.
• Multilingual Proficiency (Optional): Fluency in one or more languages in addition to English is a strong plus.
Compensation & Classification
• Job Classification: Full-Time, Exempt.
