Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring aPackage Operator I-Fresh Mozzarella based in Nampa, ID.
As aPackaging OperatorI, you will be responsible for the overall operational flow of the machines and equipment in your assigned area. You will ensure product quality and identification are correct and meets Lactalis Standards while following all Food Safety Management system guidelines.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Load and operate machines at designated speeds with minimal interruptions
Work collaboratively with line team members to maintain high production flow
Perform product changeovers and set up equipment using correct specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area; complete assigned sanitation tasks
Take immediate corrective action on products that do not meet quality standards
Support continuous improvement and overall line performance
Participate in internal and external audits; maintain ISO 22000, ISO 9001, and HACCP compliance
Attend required meetings and training sessions
Operate the production line and provide relief coverage for other operators as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned

Education
High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience
Packaging Operator I
Run and monitor packaging production lines
Lead and support packaging associates
Ensure daily production goals are met
Perform line changeovers between products
Change packaging films and materials as needed
Check product quality and packaging accuracy
Keep lines running efficiently
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues
Follow food safety and GMP standards
Complete production reports and logs
Palletizing Operator I
Palletize finished goods from production lines
Stack and organize products on pallets
Wrap and secure pallets for shipment
Ensure correct product counts and labels
Monitor product flow to avoid delays
Operate palletizing equipment safely
Keep work area clean and organized
Work with warehouse and production teams
Specialized Knowledge
Basic knowledge of packaging lines
Changeovers and film changes
GMP and food safety basics
Packaging materials and equipment
Basic troubleshooting
Palletizing process basics
Safety rules and PPE use

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy, as well as dependability and professionalism. Must possess good manual dexterity and be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 65 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand for the entire shift and perform repetitive movements such as twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, and reaching is required. Must be able to work overtime as needed, including weekends. This role operates in a high-noise environment.
