Job Description

We share a common purpose – to make the world more connected and sustainable. And we’re excited about the innovative ways we can change the world. We design some of the most complex facilities being constructed today from conceptualization through construction support. Project delivery strategies include design/bid/build, design build, and Integrated Project Delivery, and are often highly collaborative with the client, general contractor, and trade partners. The key to our success is our culture of continuous improvement, innovation, team-oriented work practices, inclusion and diversity, and respect for everyone. If you are up the challenge and interested in turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good, then Jacobs is where you belong.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Electrical Engineer in Boise, Idaho. As an Electrical Engineering Professional, part of our Cities and Places team, you will be an integral member of the design team. You will have the opportunity to perform building electrical analysis and design for a wide range of projects locally, nationally, and around the world, producing technical reports, construction drawings and technical specifications. Specific electrical design efforts will entail medium and low voltage power distribution, motor control, standby and emergency generation systems, lighting systems, fire alarm, lightning protection, grounding, and security systems, to relevant codes of practice. Additionally, your expertise will be leveraged to help support high quality power distribution and lighting calculations, technical notes, and reports. Essentially, you’ll be using your design and analysis skills to plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities, including commercial and institutional projects.

Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients locally and worldwide. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you.
