LC State invites applications for the position of Financial Coordinator in Accounts Payable.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $49,750 - $53,750

Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university.

Required Qualifications:

1. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
2. Bookkeeping or general office experience.
3. Some knowledge of accounting practices.
4. Experience in financial record keeping, filing, and tracking.
5. Customer service background and good customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Background in working with vendor invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
2. Working with mid to high-end accounting software.
3. Working with an accounting software that handles medium to high-end volume of transactions.

Responsibilities:

This position will report to the Financial Manager and is responsible for handling the day-to-day functions and customer service for the accounts payable area using an enterprise accounting system (Ellucian- Colleague) and a purchasing system (Jaggaer). This includes but is not limited to the weekly check printing process, fixed asset inventory recording and processing, and compiling quarterly and annual audit work papers related to accounts payable.

Specific tasks include and are not limited to:

1. Processing accounts payable.
2. Reconciling vendor statements and records.
3. Tracking vendor invoices and payments.
4. Fixed Asset inventory recording and processing.
5. Bookkeeping and general office procedures.
6. Compiling Annual and Quarterly audit work papers related to Accounts Payable

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support the recruitment and retention of students.
