Role Description
This is a full-time onsite role for a Carrier Procurement Representative. The role involves managing relationships with carriers, evaluating carrier performance, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with suppliers to meet transportation needs. Additional responsibilities include analyzing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of logistics operations. The Carrier Procurement Representative will work closely with the team to optimize supply chain processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Carrier Management and overseeing Vendor Performance
- Experience with carrier negotiations processes and methodologies
- Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating data and improving procurement strategies
- Background in Carrier Procurement Operations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with carriers and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and deliver results in a remote environment
- Familiarity with transportation and logistics industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred
