Job description:
We are a growing medical practice committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal disease and are seeking an Billing specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow with our team.
We are looking for someone who has prior billing experience. We will provide training specific to our processes and speciality.
Status: Full time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday - Friday. 8:00 - 5:00.

Responsibilities
- Help Billing team with submitting claims, post money, update claims
- Work with insurances to follow up on claims
- Checking insurance eligibility and authorizations
- Receives, answers and responds to telephone calls from patients or their representatives.
- Work with insurance companies on denials and authorizations.
- Collects all co-pays, deductibles, and past balances as indicated on the insurance card or as documented by billing staff. Updates new insurance information as received.
- Other duties as assigned
- Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous clinical experience required.
- Billing experience is required.
- Customer service oriented attitude/behavior

Experience:
- Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
